Convay's Game of Life

Start drawing cells by clicking into the white canvas. In the bottom panel the Rulset and speed of the cycle simulation can be adjusted.

The original game was invented by the  mathematician John Horton Conway in 1970.The rules of Conways game of life are the following:

1. Any live cell with two or three live neighbours survives.
2. Any dead cell with three live neighbours becomes a live cell.
3. All other live cells die in the next generation. Similarly, all other dead cells stay dead.

All rules are applied to every cell in each cycle step.
